Discover a path to self-discovery, healing, and personal growth. Our therapists provide a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges through evidence-based techniques. We work together to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and enhance overall well-being.

Psychotherapy is the management of mental health struggles and life difficulties through the use of psychotherapeutic and psychological methods. Through exploration, psychoeducation and tailored techniques; you can learn about your thoughts, moods, feelings and behaviors, and how they relate to one another and ultimately affect you. The psychotherapeutic process can help you gain the skills to respond to challenging situations with healthy coping strategies.

These services are offered by our Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) who are all members of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Our therapists take a holistic approach to therapy. Symptoms are addressed, while also identifying the underlying factors contributing to your presenting concerns, and exploring how these connect to your present thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns.

Our affordable therapy program offers professional counseling at a more accessible cost, making mental health care attainable for those facing financial constraints. Our sliding scale options allow us to strive to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to receive the support they need for their well-being and personal growth.

We believe that access mental health care and psychotherapy should be an easily accessible resource and available service for all. Unfortunately, the cost of therapy (especially in private practice) can prohibit the access to psychotherapy services for many people and can act as a barrier to seeking services. Because of these reasons, we strive to make our services as accessible as possible and ensure that finances to not become a barrier to receiving care. We offer the option to meet with a Psychotherapy Intern or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) for Psychotherapy services at a lower cost for clients who may not have the financial resources or insurance. Our interns and qualifying therapists are closely supervised to ensure that you are receiving a service that promotes professional standards of practice.

Our standard reduced fee rate is set to $85. However, we recognize that every client is unique and has unique set of circumstances that requires different options. Because of this, please do not hesitate to inquire about our sliding scale options for more affordable therapy options. Although space is limited, we have openings throughout the year.

Welcome. As a warm and genial human, I work in collaboration with my clients in the therapy room - welcoming their feedback to help guide the therapeutic process. I believe that providing an open space for your emotional vulnerability and following you at your pace is the key to the onset of your healing journey. When appropriate for your needs, I incorporate practical tools established in evidence-based modalities to further assist you towards reaching your reported goals and take a strengths-based approach to ensure that your inner strengths are being accessed and cultivated.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and an approved Clinical Supervisor. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Spirituality from Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Ontario. I currently have 8+ years of experience in mental health services and have been in full time private practice since 2018.

I am passionate in supporting children (5+), teenagers, and adults with ADHD, anxiety disorders, and relational trauma. My goal as a therapist is to provide meaningful support that promotes lasting improvements to mental health and emotional well-being. I take a collaborative approach to sessions that is tailored to the unique needs of each client.

In my therapy sessions, I primarily lean towards implementing the modalities that I have advanced training in: Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also utilize specialized psychotherapy modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Play Therapy to clients who seek these specific services. My extensive training background and clinical experience allows me to be prescriptive in my approach to therapy sessions.

Before opening Drice Psychotherapy, I worked in crisis counselling, community support, and former group private practice settings. My roles in crisis counselling and community support included providing clinical support to people without homes, low income communities, newcomers, people struggling with substance misuse, and survivors of sexual violence. My previous private practice allowed me to work closely with a Psychologist that specialized in learning and thinking differences. Because of this, I gained an abundant amount of experience working with youth and their caregivers, and assisting clients of all ages with a variety of anxiety disorders (Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, panic, phobias, social anxiety), and attention disorders (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: combined, impulsive/hyperactive, inattentive).

I also provide clinical supervision and consultation services to other psychotherapists and related professionals.

Outside of therapy, I deeply value the connection with my loved ones, my community, and nature. My world is centralized around fur babies. I enjoy consuming almost all forms of media (podcasts, music, movies, tv shows) and read one book a week. I welcome any suggestions you may have!

Compassion, warmth, and collaboration are the centerpiece to my practice. I believe that by identifying and harnessing your natural strengths, we can work together to cultivate a safe space in therapy where you can develop, heal, grown, learn, and work through whatever may have brought you to therapy. Everyone is unique and therefore, there is a unique blend of various approaches and philosophies that will best serve each person. I strive to work in a client-centred way in order to honour your unique life experiences.

I am a Psychotherapy Intern, currently completing my Master’s in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Ontario.

I am particularly interested in working with people who want to develop access to self-worth, deepen their self-awareness, and pursue personal growth. Specifically, I support individuals in the areas of ADHD, anxiety disorders, poor body image, depression, and perfectionism.

I am also open to other presenting concerns within my scope of knowledge. I am determined to support my clients as best as I can by tapping in to all the resources and research available in order to provide them with a tailored experience for therapy.

The main approaches to psychotherapy that I implement in sessions are CBT, EFT, and self compassion.

Prior to starting my formal education in psychology and psychotherapy, I completed a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and has worked in clinical research laboratories for over 5 years. In my undergraduate studies, I worked in two laboratories as a research assistant and was part of a publication in the Journal of Cellular Physiology in June 2020. My experience in these clinical research settings developed my critical thinking skills and my ability to integrate many different sources of information into a more cohesive and holistic perspective for my clients.

I then took a leap and accepted a project management position in San Diego where I worked as a facilitator to support mental health and wellness events and retreats around the world. During my experience supporting these events, I felt connected to the meaningful work that I observed and facilitated and decided to return to Ottawa to add a Minor in Psychology to my BSc in order to then pursue her Master’s in Counseling and Spirituality at Saint Paul University.

The current MA program that I am pursing emphasizes the integration of all the many parts of humans including the mind, body, and a third element of spirituality (when present for the client). Having a spiritually integrated model can mean many things and does not preclude those who find themselves in a secular framework but allows for the scaffolding needed when talking about meaning and purpose in our lives.

I am presently welcoming new clients for Individual Psychotherapy (16+) at a reduced fee.

Compassion, warmth, and collaboration are the centerpiece to my practice. I believe that by ident... Read More
